Considering a career in private investigation? To be eligible to obtain a licence to work as a private investigator in Australia you have to complete the Certificate III in Investigative Services.
There are some training organisations that rely on people's ignorance and false concepts about private investigation; they will extract exorbitant fees from overly keen "private eyes" without disclosing that their courses are not recognised by authorities and will not make you eligible to apply for a PI licence.
Some websites in Australia offer "private investigation courses" and imply that upon completion of these expensive courses one can work as a private investigator. This may be true or it may be false.
