CORRECTIONS AND ALTERATIONS
It is bound to happen that the Investigator will make some errors and/or omissions. In that event, the initial error must remain visible. There must be no attempt to eliminate or disguise the error.
There must be no erasure of entries and any errors must be crossed out with a single line, re-written so that the original error can still be read and the Investigator must initial the mistake.
Correction fluid must not be used. Adopting this approach lends credibility to the authentic nature of the notes and ultimately to the reputation of the investigator.
Similarly, Investigators should not attempt to erase or alter tape recordings. In the event of error simply refer to the offending part and make an audio recorded correction.
